One of our favorite mean reversion stories comes from John Bogle, founder of Vanguard who famously compared it to a “law of gravity” in investing: “Reversion to the mean represents the operation of a kind of ‘law of gravity’ in the stock market, through which returns mysteriously seem to be drawn to norms of one kind or another over time.”

He even called it “Sir Isaac Newton’s revenge on Wall Street.”

The power of mean reversion is a reminder that long-term investing requires patience and discipline, something we strive to incorporate into our approach at Nebo Wealth every day.
